Sumita has a wealth of over 25 years of entrepreneurial, marketing and business building
related experience, from effective business directorship to delivering Training. Her training experience as Senior Academic Staff with Republic Polytechnic Singapore, a invited speaker with Asia
Spa Institute Singapore and honorary Vice chairperson for Ethics and Professionalism
committee in SWAS (Singapore Wellness and Spa Association).

A top-rated Business Director of her own wellness service retail chain of spas for 18 years, is
a strategic thinker, business developer innovator and sales leader. She has passion and
drive for marketing and sales, having started her career with multiple outstanding and highly
visible multinational Advertising agencies corporations like Bozell Worldwide, Peter
Beaumont & Friends advertising and Philip Wain International where she played roles in
advertising, public relations and business development. She later started her own spa chain, Tulsi Health &
Beauty Day Spa in Surrey, England, which won numerous awards, including being
nominated 26 times in 10 years for the British Beauty and Spa Awards in the categories of
Marketing, Training, Customer Care, Salon of the Year, Salon Retailer Of the year and Salon
Director of the Year between 1999 to 2009. Sumita also took her company through the
Service Quality Standards Award and achieved the Investor in People Award (UK) in 2005-
2010.

Not only did Sumita successfully grow her business from one to seven outlets by reaching goals
and achieving business plans, she also built a strong core of loyal customers and staff by
offering superior product lines, such as home spa services, signature treatments and products
which shows her in-depth understanding of the business, strong sales/service skills, and
exceptional human resources and organizational ability.

She returned to Asia in 2016 and is now a sought-after Speaker and Consultant in Spa
Management, Service Marketing and Service Operations. Leveraging on her rich
experience, Sumita shares her expertise by Training with Asia Spa Institute Singapore, Raffles College Academy and s Republic Polytechnic
Singapore. She is the founder of her current business in the UK The Anise Wellness & Skincare Retreat.

Sumita graduated with a Masters in Administration (Marketing) and a Bachelor of Arts
(Marketing) from Western International University, Bachelor of Commerce from University of
Delhi (New Delhi, India) and a Diploma in Public Relations from London School of Public
Relations (London, England) with the PTTLS qualification (preparing to teach in the life long learning sector London.
